While you may be able to access CPanel and Email as noted in the 2:32 email, the email accounts are no longer there.

Do you have an ETA on when email will be restored? Are ya'll spooling email so any incoming during this period will be delivered after you release it?

It's the sending mail server leaving the emails in queue, and they will be delivered when this HG server is back up and running.

Maintenance on this server is still ongoing. At this time we are migrating the content and everything to new hardware due to the hardware issue on the old server. We do not foresee any further issues during this migration. We will continue to keep you updated during this process.

Since the server was down due to a hardware issue we were not spooling mail so any emails that were sent while the server is down will initially bounce back, however emails should try to resend when the server comes back online. We can not make any guarantees that there will not be any lost email during this time, as it depends on the settings of the isp's from where the mail was sent from.

ok it has been way to long ...and I already lost money waiting for the server to come up. There was no notice first of all , and this service more then sucks. I need to recover my files , I already purchased other hosting accounts to move everything but THERE ARE no files in my account. There should be a temporary access to the files so we all can just move our websites already. I WIL NEVER EVER USE OR RECOMMEND HOSTGATOR AGAIN! There is no excuse for this downtime. it's totally unprofessional and will recommend everyone to move from hostgator.

I apologize for the inconveniences and the frustrations. Unfortunately we cannot provide notice on emergency hardware issues such as what happened with this server.

We're in the process of recovering data at this time, and we are transferring it to a new chassis. Once this is done, we will be able to get you the data you require.

If you haven't, please open a ticket to support@hostgator.com, and when the server restoration has finished, we will provide you the data.
