Positive To be a Gator

Well some time back I decided to place my forum on my own hosting being with one of those free forum host packages before. Not really knowing much of what I needed I settle on a hosting service. From day one I had endless problems and when reporting them to support would get back pre scripted replies at times having no relevance to my problem. So it was time to find another host so I began researching host reading review after review.

During my research Host Gator kept popping up with excellent reviews. I was a bit suspicious at first as they were all great reviews with very little negative. This really made me think that no company could have so many happy customers so I sort of kept putting Host Gator to the bottom of my list. However Host Gator kept on jumping to the top no matter how I tried to ignore it.

So the time came to make a decision as my current situation was becoming unbearable sending around 4 to 5 mails a day trying to get my problem sorted out with my then current host. So I purchased a month hosting with Host Gator and the process started. I needed my current forum moved across plus my domain name and Host Gator offered to take the burden off me and do it all.

So now my correspondence started with Host Gator and lots of it. Opening sales tickets and support tickets and slowly working through the process. So what do I like about Host Gator

1.The support is excellent and getting help is just so easy and quick.
2.No scripted replies you are actually speaking to a real live person
3.3 Ways of getting support ticket system online or via e-mail, online chat function and the best of all for me I can phone in using Skype. For me this is a big plus living outside the USA.
4.The efficient way my transfer was done. Even when the transfer of my domain name was rejected by my then current host and my site ha already been moved over. It was no problem for the transfer staff to redo it again for me once my domain name had been sorted out.
5.Had a few problems with my site once it was all working and the support team really went out of their way to sort out all these small issues as quickly as possible.

So now I can fully understand when doing my research why I did not come across many negative responses to Host Gator. So I would like to thanks all the staff at Host Gator sales, technical and transfer team for a great job done and making a previously unhappy customer a very happy customer.

So if you are not already a customer of Host Gator I have just one word for you, SHAME
