Everyt time I go to your site, Sitebot S&D tells me that you want me to install Gator, a known risk, and do I want it blocked.

I do.

I get that EVERY time I load a new page.

Can you remove it?

It would enhance my HG experience!

Ok, forgive me for a moment...

Are you being serious, or just making a light-hearted joke?

We are not affiliated with Gator Software, and we do not have any rotating 3rd part adbertisements on our site, so if you are getting that warning, it is not because *we* are trying to install anything.

Perhaps your spyware program just doesnt like the domain name?

Also, have you tried running your spyware program *before* visiting Hostgator? Perhaps you have some traces on your system, and anytime your browser shows the word "gator", and installer routie is triggered.

Just a thought.

Being serious, every page I load from your site, these forums included, gives me a warning.

Weird.

I will investigate.

Think it may be the cookies fooling Spybot.

I really don't want to turn Spybot off, or disable notification about Gator, but its pretty annoying getting the pop-up on every page!

Maybe I'm not explaining myself enough.

I've not got Gator.
I don't WANT Gator.
I active discourage installing Gator with spybot S&R.

However, I lurve HostGator!

Everytime I open a page from HG, Spybot tells me it is trying to install Gator and do I want to block it.

I've logged a support ticket with the guy who wrote Spybot.

Most likely, I bet it's picking up on the word Gator, parhaps in a cookie. I love Spybot but that's a pretty big bug! Good luck.

I told Spybot to ignore the HG cookie and the dreaded pop-up window (system, not browser) has gorn.

I KNEW if I showed the PC the hammer it would sort itself out!

Now, how do you close a thread!!!!!!!!!!!!
