We've been here 3 days and while the server is functioning pretty much as expected, the support is already getting bad. When you call in or chat you seem to get entry level techs (no surprise). Getting a valid answer from them is 50/50. I'm no longer going to use chat because you waste your life waiting there. If phone support doesn't get better in a few days we'll look at a couple of the other hosts we didn't go with and cancel gator for a refund and move on.
I think gator misses the value in at least training their 1st level staff to know when to admit they don't know something and bump it up. If you're looking at gator, I would reccomend that you look elsewhere. It's a real pain to keep moving around and sticking it out without good support is not a better option. Can you please provide a support ticket number relating to this experience?

Jay,
If you read my post carefully you will see that I did not mention a ticket, but mentioned phone and chat. |

You want a support ticket? Try Ticket ID: HYX-913864
My boss just wasted a lot of effort asking a simple question but your amatuer support dept. ran him around and then gave him an irrelevant answer. He requested that Brent Oxley get involved like it says at http://hostgator.com/company.shtml but that didn't happen either. Go elsewhere people - don't get fooled like we did. We're talking to two other hosting companies right now and will move as soon as we have made a decision. |
