Hi all, prospective customers
![]() I signed up with Hostgator in January after Topcities no longer provided me with the space I needed to host Gargoyles Sound and Vision, (www.gargoyles-sv.com) the Hostgator fees matched Topcities, but offered a lot more packages options and more importantly features. Hostgator provides you with a Domain Name (providing it is valid) for an additional fee of $10 a year which is great if you think that some sites charge you what $50 a year, I have the $10 pack at the moment as it provides for my every need till I need a larger area to work with either in Bandwidth or Server space which I am happy to pay as the customer service is excellent as is their reliabiliy and honisty as due to the fact that I am in the UK and am very concerned with using credit cards on the net, I send the funds directly to them, and though due to war they were delayed this last month, they are very understanding and are willing to provide you with all the help you need, even if you mess up your first FTP upload heheThey dont supply you with website making tools like Dreamweaver which for the price is expected no that it is a huge thing as packages are cheep but their servers are fully intergrateable with all methods of uploading and downloading files to and from the website. Their servers are always online also, as I have encountered in my 4 months no breakdowns of any kind unlike things like Angelfire and Tripod which are neutorious for downtime, The server allows customized 404 error pages though experience programming is needed Hostgator will provide support for you also as they have assisted me, and also, NO POPUPS which is great as they are anoying little spam boxes which really spoil pages but not with Hostgator, I have recommended them to my friends and collegues as they were the cheapest in consideration of bandwidth, server space and other features which supply my every need ![]() I look forward to continuing my account with them and would recommend to anyone reading this message to do the same ![]() Adam |
