G35 Outage

The server was rebooted and is now running a file system check on /home. This is around 30% complete and the server will be back online when it completes. We will update this as we get more information.

Just purely out of curiosity and because I want to learn, what cause the file system corruption if I may ask? A user error, virus or just 'a quirk of the system'?

Not if I am mistaken, but I remember that the server had 4 processors, and now only it has two, am I in the correct thing?

You server probably got upgraded, (not the same thing as here) thats why there will be less processors (each single proccessor will be more powerfull)
