Hi! Sorry if this question seems obvious to you, I have many sites but I've always used hosts with features totally different from here and I feel a little lost.....
I have a baby account. I created a site and then I managed to insert an addon, properly following the instructions. I feel a little confused about the setting of my fpt which presently cannot connect to the addon. I know it might be a problem of dsn update, but knowing that this can take even many days, I don't want to wait a week only to maybe discover that I inserted wrong ftp details. My first domain is for example www.mysite1.com. My addon is www.mysite2.com I understand, but I might be wrong, that my ftp info for the connection is ftp.mysite2.mysite1.com Am I right? Thank you in advance

You can just use your main domains FTP info.

Yes, if you've created the add-on properly through cPanel, you should see its directory within the public_html directory. It's much, much easier to use the main domain's FTP for it.

What geyneth said ^^
I set up different accounts in my FTP program for the different subdomains, will work the same with add-on's, then for each sub I set up a separate account in my FTP program. I then set the default remote folder to the sub folder for that account.
