For some reason I cant get the other forums to load, sooo I'm posting here
For my FrontPage users, what is the procedure for them to upload a site, using frontpage to an addon and subdomain? is it http://theresite.com/foldername or http://subdomain.theresite.com or neither? wonder why its soooooo hard to find any documentation in the world of cpanel for things like this? LB thanks for any help! |

FrontPage can be a real bugger. Unless your FrontPage customers are using FrontPage driven content (such as forms or shared borders), I would recommend to them that they use the FTP publishing option in FrontPage, and do not install the FrontPage extensions on their account.
With that said, let's move on... They publish to http://subdomain.theirsite.com They just need to create the sub-domain in Cpanel and install the FrontPage extensions on the sub-domain. Typically, they can create a new web in FrontPage and publish to the sub-domain. NOTE: Sub-domain sites in FrontPage (otherwise known as sub-webs in FrontPage lingo) operate and exist independantly from the parent web. This means that images in the parent web, or things such as shared borders in the parent web, have no relationship with the sub web. Last edited by MarsMan; 01-17-2005 at 10:00 AM.
