Free Google Adwords Credit

I received a letter in the mail from Hostgator, thanking me for being a loyal customer and a promo card of $100 credit for Google Adwords.

I just wanted to say Thank you to Hostgator for sending this! But unfortunately, when I tried to redeem, I could not:

Please correct this error:
Sorry, your account is too old to be eligible to redeem this coupon.

I appreciate it anyway. I've gotten nothing but bills from my previous host.

Google only allows for these to be applied to new adword accounts, this isn't a limit on our end. I totally understand this policy from them since if they allowed anyone to redeem coupons forever it would be bad for business.

Google really is an amazing partner for us to work with!!

Yep, I figured it was on Google's end & not Hostgator's; I understand why the limitation is in place, also.
I suspected it wouldn't work as the letter was worded to be for new Adsense users.

Still, it was very surprising to receive in the mail!

Someone from Google must have been watching.. I got an email from Google with another code this evening; but no mention of HG. Just the credit code and blurb about how awesome it is.

Coincidence? Possibly. It has been a while since I made use of Adwords.
