The breadcrumbs in the navbar for the forums aren't functioning properly.
View any thread, then try to use the breadcrumbs to navigate back out to the thread listing page and you'll get a 404 error Edit: Looks like there maybe other issues as well. The stats in the whats going on box for forumhome aren't functioning to their full potential either. |

We're aware of the issue and our Forum Administrator and CTO will need to look into this as it may be an issue with the version or the actual server environment and rewrite rules. Sorry for the small things that aren't working, but for the most part it's still good
![]() Thanks for bearing with us.

I am wondering if it is connected to the bout of spamming we had a few days ago?
The problem seemed to show up after that.

In addition to the breadcrumbs being invalid, the two dropdown menus on each forum section, for Forum Tools and Search, are missing their descriptors. The Forum Tools dropdown contained the link "Mark This Forum Read" (or words to that effect) and moving your mouse over what's there now will show you what I mean.
Each individual thread has a "Thread Tools" and "Search This Thread" dropdown, and those ARE there and working. This started a few days ago. When I first noticed it, I was at work and figured it was the corporate firewall/proxy that was causing it. But now, at home, I see it isn't. |

I did a little more poking around. I don't believe it's an environment or rewrite issue, but I'm not certain of that.
Here are the results: From the main forum page, clicking a sub-section header such as "Public Forums", gives the following link, and it WORKS: http://forums.hostgator.com/forumdisplay.php?f=6 But, once you've read... say... the "Suggestions" forum, and click the breadcrumb link to "Public Forums", it gives THIS form of the link, and it DOESN'T work: http://forums.hostgator.com/public-forums-f6.html (The missing drop-down menus are another issue, and unrelated, I think.) |

From the way the URLS are now written, it looks as if there may be something new inside? Don't think it had the fpages before.

Let me know if you still see the problem. I was only told of this issue a couple of hours ago.

Hi Dave,
Everything appears to be back in working order again, well from my end at least. Take care, Keith

Looks like you fixed it, DaveC!
All breadcrumb links work now, and the sub-forum menus are back where they should be. |
