Forum Hosting Account Requirement

I am going to launch my forum site, I would like to know very basic requirement for a forum website.

Script Software.... (I can afford IPB & VB)
Hosting Requirement
Max SQL Connection Allowed
Max Database Size Allowed

Most host mention in their plans both Connections and size unlimited, same as Host Gator, Anyone has hosted forum with HG and what is situation with HG... Unlimited or They say to upgrade the hosting plan.

Second the last Question, Which of the following can generate traffic and adsense $

A Webmaster Forum
A Music Site
A Job Portal
Any other that you want to suggest to me

Pick a subject you know and like and try to make a niche nobody else is doing.

A job portal is a lot of work, and you won't get applicants until you have job postings, and you won't get job postings until you have sufficient traffic.
