- Zend Optimizer Zend is standard on all of our servers

- safe_mode, open_basedir restriction switched off These can be set to off by modifying the php.ini on your account.

- curl cURL is available on request, we will need to add you to the "get users group". Please email support@hostgator.com with a written request for this. You will need to have ssh enabled on your account also and you can request that at the same time.

- ffmpeg support switched On ffmpeg isn't available on shared servers, it is only allowed on our dedicated servers due to possible issues with resource usage.

- Cronjobs/scheduler support cron jobs are supported on all of our servers,
you can run cron jobs using these instructions:

1. To setup a cron job goto cPanel, click Cron jobs, choose Standard

2. Please note: cron jobs cannot be run in less than 15 minute intervals

If I request these two, do they come with additional costs attached?

Do you really think nobody will notice the hidden image/link if you quote a Gator and put it there?

Does it mean the minute(s) must be set at least every 15 minutes and cannot be set less than that such as every other minute?

Yes, that is correct, cron jobs will not run on our shared servers if they are set to intervals of less than 15 minutes, to run cron jobs with a smaller interval you would need to be hosted on a dedicated server.

Why do I still receive messages constantly although I have set less than 15 minutes? Doesn't it mean my cron job runs?

Isn't whether your cron runs or not at less than 15 minute intervals irrelevant? As it is against the TOS, HG can suspend your account for doing such. Now that you have admitted to running the cron more often than 15 mins, isn't in your best interest along with all the other users you share your server with, that you alter the cron to less often than every 15 mins (assuming you aren't on a dedicated server).

This is from the TOS:

7a.) Resource Usage
User may not:
h) Run cron entries with intervals of less than 15 minutes
