Hi,
Fantastico is not installing Drupal correctly in one of my client's site's root directory. It seems that a trailing slash is automatically added to the directory's base URL. So for example, when I initially tried to update anything within Drupal, it redirected me to http://domain//whatever. Obviously this extra slash was fouling things up! :x The solution to this is to open the conf.php file in the 'includes' folder and remove the trailing slash from the $base_url setting on line 32. If you are installing Drupal in a subdirectory, you will not need to do the above step since Fantastico does not add the trailing slash upon install. If HostGator support could modify this in Fantastico, that would be great, as it appears that Drupal automatically adds a trailing slash on its own. Thanks, Paul |

Any word if this problem has been fixed on the Fantastico end? Would love to have Drupal install automatically whithout having to go in and manually reconfigure the config file! |

I could be wrong, but I don't think Hostgator works on Fantastico script errors. You might try going to Fantastico's site itself and letting them know of the error. That way they can fix it and when the next version comes out, we'll automatically get the fix.
