I only joined HG last week. I've been using another web hosting company for about 4 years now, and been happy with them. However, I want to move into reselling and they don't offer that, and so I did some research. I research what was on offer, and then read reviews. From that I made the decision to join HG.

I have had a few occasions to contact support.

I have an issue with Zone Alarm causing cPanel and WHM to run extremely slowing even with relevant ports open.

I had a problem getting a manual phpBB to work, but that was my fault.

I couldn't get Fantastico to show up in cPanel.

All these issues were resolved within a half hour or so.

The one that took the longest was gaining full access to these forums, and it took a little longer because in my first follow up mail I forgot to put the user name I'd signed up with.

So all in all so far, a positive experience.

I'm going to see how HG perform over the next few weeks, and then consider transferring my other domains over from my previous hosting company.
