Question Filezilla FTP

I use Filezilla FTP to upload most of my files to my server.
Since using this programme I have been getting the same problem since day 1.
If I upload a large file, say 70MB, half way through I get disconnected.
Also, if I'm editing a file through Filezilla FTP that's on my server, and if I take too long, say 2 minutes, I also get disconnected.
I have been through the FTP Filezilla settings a dozen times to see if there is a setting to avoid this issue but I haven't been able to find it. Maybe it's a setting with my server?

I know that most people here use Filezilla as their FTP client, so can anyone help me out on this one please?

You may want to make sure that Passive Mode ftp is enabled in Filezilla. If it is, you should send an e-mail to us at support @ hostgator.com with your public IP (found at http://hostgator.com/myip.php ) so we can check the firewall for any intermittent blockages. We have seen a good bit of tickets in recent history where ISPs are starting to send mangled/malformed/invalid packets to our servers on any non-standard ports, causing our firewall to not recognize them and discard them as trash.

Hope this helps!

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
The problem with the IP is that because I use Vodafone Mobile Connect 3G, everytime that I connect to the internet I get a new IP address.

I have changed it to Passive Mode and it seems to be holding the connection well, does not seem to disconnect now!
