It is most likely stated already, but I was wondering if the reseller is the one offering support since they really have no control of the servers this would probably be useless. Or is HG the one giving support to the reseller’s customers?
Support being: Account issues, Database issues, Server reliability etc. Second is anyone having any success selling hosting packages considering the high reseller price packages? I mean how can you recoup your own costs considering the competition of other hosts on the web. I know that there are some fly by night hosts that take your money and run so I will exclude them. But comparable packages to HG to hosting companies that have been on the web longer than 5 years. Diamond reseller package 20 gig of space 20 gigs of bandwidth $99.95 Competition 50 gig of space 1000 gigs of bandwidth $99.95 a month $89.95 if paid annually Competition Dedicated server Intel 1.7 GHz CPU 512 MB RAM 80 GB HD 1000 GB Data Transfer $79.00 a month This is from a company that is traded publicly. I won't post the domain here but if you are Interested you can e-mail me. Last is I have purchased space here at HG and contacted support for a few things. The first time I was ignored second time I was treated like a criminal so I will be canceling my account here and be moving to the one above. But I was misled by the comments posted on this forum. I am sure that this is a great host for others hence all the positive feedback. I just can't see the justification for the prices, and wondering if I could get away with the same scam. HG seems to be very successful selling hosting packages and reseller packages because of its place on the ladder. Ladder being Google etc. That’s I think is why they are successful, Because Just a little investigation on the consumers part would show that there are several worth while companies out there with far superior customer service, ya know rather than answering the telephone HG "HELLO" Not the typical "Thank you for calling HG how may I help you". Far better Packages, with far better support for those packages. Just my two cents. |
