Hello, this is a prospect client doing some final considerations.
1. In the resellers packages table there is a section entitled "All accounts YOU SETUP will have...", then other titles read: "All accounts will have..." Is there a difference between the features available to the reseller and to the end user, or everybody has the same (of course, except space/bandw). What about the shared SSL? 2. Not sure what's the technical term for this, but how do you regulate the bandwidth usage in a server shared between small static HTML sites and high traffic multimedia sites? Thanks in advance for your help! |

As for the shared SSL, it is available, but if you search the forums here, you'll find many discussions about it. We are currently working on an improvement to the shared SSL. For your second question, are you asking how do we (hostgator) do this, or how do you do it? if the latter, you may limit bandwidth on a per domain basis. You can allow one site to use 10GB per month, while another may be limited to 2GB per month. It's all up to you. |

Hi Gator_Justin, thanks for your response.
Most probably my questions are way too basic, I just want to make sure that I understand well your offer. The first question referred to the programs, like shopping carts, billing system, etc., listed in the resellers package. All these features are available for the end user? I currently resell with another company but they only provide the standard CPanel/WHM features, so I'm not sure how the "extra" things work in HostGator. Regarding the bandwidth, what I mean is if your servers has an automated way to prevent a website to "monopolize" a server's bandwidth. Thanks again! |
