Default fantastico scripts

Hi,

Your fantastico list seems dated and limited, not to mention difficult to read due to its small size and screen placement!

Does your real list offer programs such as Mambo?

If not, is there any plan to update the script list?

What page shows this list?

In order to learn more about their features, are there links to the makers of these scripts, or is there a tutorial/descriptor page?

In your cPanel, go to the Preinstalled Scripts section. There's a link to Fantastico. There you will see the scripts listed.

When you click on the name of a script in the list, you will see info in the right pane. It includes a link to the the developers' website.

I was told that SOHO Launch is included in Fantastico Delux, but it's not on the list. Was I misinformed about this program being included?

SOHO Launch is not being offered at this time. It is a feature that is available with fantastico; however, it is not free as with the other scripts that fantastico installs.

The only scripts that can be a part of CPanel or Fantastico are the scripts that the developers decide to include. vBulletin will never be part of this list because it carries a hefty price tag.

A copy of vBulletin costs $85 a year, or $160, and then $30 a year for upgrades.

Too expensive.

Coppermine has released a new version that is "highly recommended" to upgrade. Any chance that is going to happen soon? I would like to install it for my site, but I don't want to use the older version offered on Fantastico right now ... Thanks!

Hey Ronibirk.

I just noticed that too this past weekend. I ended up installing the latest version myself. It's pretty straight forward if you're comfortable with that type of stuff. PM if you end up doing it and need some help.

Since it is offered as a 'one-click' install, I wasn't sure we could install them ourselves. If so, then I'll definitely do that since I already have before on other domains. Thanks!

I just set up my hatchling account. I'm wondering where I can see the fantastico scripts. When I click on the Fantastico icon on cpanel, I only get a list of "extras"; language and email notification. No mention of the installable scripts. Am I looking at the wrong place?

You should be able to click on one of the 'extras' in the lefthand column, and then it displays the version and install information in the righthand column. I have never had a Hatchling account though, so make sure you review its features to see what it includes.

I have a link on my site to a page that is more up to date. It shows the versions and links to their home pages too.
