Fantastico Php Suggestions

Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for the included php programs in fantastico?

I've tried php nuke and post nuke, and a little of phpwebsite. I know nuke is real popular, but almost every site I see running nuke looks so similar and I can tell almost off the bat it's nuke. I want something a little different and unique, yet easy to maintain and setup.

I like phpwebsite for ease of use but don't really care for it's forums. I haven't totally dabbled into everything so I'm not sure about it either.

Nuke seemed a little complicated and more complex, a little confusing and there homepage don't offer squat for information or help.

Basically I want user accounts and once signed in they would have additional access/privilages to forums, articles, downloads, possibly uploads not too sure about that yet, etc. Mail and photo's are questionable at this time, but being considered.

I want to be able to change the layout and look real easy.

Post-nuke is a real good choice for using for a web site. You can get a phpbb2 module for it so u can have integrated forums and there are hundreds of skins out there for it. You can also install the autotheme module with it so simplify modding autothemes if you wish to use them which are quite helpfull.

I have also seen a real nice portal tht instegrates with invision powerboard. It has downloads sections and many others along with a nice looking interface based off of you ipb install. Its is probably you best choice.

Mambo Open Source is a wonderful content management script. Totally free and customizable. You can also get a PHPBB(1/2) plugin. A lot of the sites look nothing alike!!
