Default Fantastico and SohoLaunch
I am looking into a reseller site to develop websites for clients.

I am debating using fantastico and Soholaunch. However I have never used them before. I know I will have a lot of questions and support from HostGator.

Can you guys give me feedback on how helpful HostGator is for first time users of this site and these products?

Generally helpful, but usually moreso when you have a problem...

Questions like that, you'd be better to ask here, in the forums.
