No problem, I thought, correcting this and clickign again. This time, I received a different error. But in the corner my email popped up, notifying me that I'd received a payment confirmation email from PayPal. Sure enough, I'd been charged my $15.

Yet I am unable to log in using the information I used, and when I check the domain, it still shows itself as available for purchase. Hope to get some guidance so I know how to proceed.

My situation, and my goal:

I've got hosting somewhere else for one domain with multiple subdomains that I created with NVU, as well as two other sites (WordPress), each with its own domain and hosting. I'm paying too much in hosting each individually. I'd like to host them all in one place and save some $$ too.

My questions:

1. Is the Baby hosting plan the most indicated for me? I want a plan that can host unlimited domains so each one displays an independent website.

2. If so, I understand that I must choose one of my domains as the primary to register the account. Does it make any difference which one I choose?

3. How will I add on the other two domains (and subsequent ones I may get later on)?

4. Will I still be able to create subdomains every now and then within the Baby plan?

5. Will I get help transferring all files from the domain/site I choose as a primary, including the cPanel, SQL databases, and all files? And how long does this take?

6. Does the Baby plan support WordPress, and may I continue using NVU and Filezilla as my web authoring software and FTP client? Some of my sites are in WordPress, but others are still created with NVU.

Fast page load = postive ranking factor.

A friend has just moved to hosting (not dedicated) where a website accelerator has been added to the server her sites are hosted on as part of the hosting package, she says the improvement in page load time is incredible.

Have Hostgator any plans to do this? I think it would be a good idea, i'd pay a bit more.

Reading the TOS I found out that I can't run cron entries with intervals of less than 15 minutes. However, during the cron setup it is possible to choose periods like 1, 5 and 10 (and more, of course).

Is the TOS outdated? The rules changed? Can I run now a cron job every 5 minutes?

Just for your information, the PHP script that I want to run gathers data from an external API (data is returned in json format) and then it proceeds with a SQL insert/update.

I'm currently on another hosting plan with another host, and just received an e-mail from them saying that one of my scripts (livezilla is what I was using) hit 1% CPU usage and that I should upgrade to a dedicated server...

I'm wondering if HostGator has similar restrictions and what they are. In addition, I'm considering the fact that maybe I do need a dedicated account.
