Default escalate Warning Signs

Memory Used 81.8%
Disk sda2 (/var) 84%

Both are blinking in Yellow. Hope it won't be a Mazda issue.

Exclamation Re: escalate Warning Signs

ITS back up.

Memory Used 72.4 %
Disk sda1 (/) 22 %
Disk sda7 (/home) 40 %
Disk sda6 (/tmp) 4 %
Disk sda3 (/usr) 70 %
Disk sda2 (/var) 69 %

How come Memory Used for most of your servers are so high nowadays? This few months is the Servers' Load and Memory Used have been usually on the high side. Way back last year, its so stable.

For your info, besides escalate, I have reseller accounts on skyline and two others.

I noticed the same problem for 4 different servers, Memory and Load is high. Are you slowly putting more accounts onto each servers?

I am always worried nowadays, with clients calling complaining of slow loading, email delay in sending, can't load. I even have a problem of restoring to more than 10 days old data on skyline, a few months ago ( just like the audi case). I used to enjoy hosting, until problems like this that gave me sleepless nights.

Something has to done.

Perhaps the best option for those intensely concerned about server load and resources would be a dedicated server.

I must admit I've been thinking about it myself, but I don't come close to needing that level of space. None of my sites are resource hogs - not even a single large mailing list - and it gets me a bit flustered when I see the server load spike on escalade because some retard is hosting a site that is sending out 12,000 emails or something similar.

If anyone is in the same position as I am - low or reasonable resource needs and a low tolerance for the crap that goes on sporadically, shoot me an email at mty@circpros.com. If I can find 6 or 8 reasonable folks I wouldn't mind sharing space with, I'd prefer to go dedicated - even if it does cost me slightly more a month. If I can find 10 people, we can get a lot more resources per account and pay a little less!

Depending on how EXIM is configured, even someone sending out 12,000 emails shouldn't over tax a decent server. Especially true if using mailman for mailing lists. Combine that with adequate swap space and RAM and yes, some functions, (especially poorly written scripts), will cause slow downs and time outs, but most routine tasks dont' even cause a noticeable hiccup.

peace

Talking Re: escalate Warning Signs

Agreed. I just figure for about the same money, I can get on a faster server, have a little better resource caps and have some control over who else is on that server - and hopefully be a little happier.
