Any updates?
Emails hosted on Escalade, seemed to be delayed. I received an email just today on Sunday, where the sender sent it out on Tuesday, there is 5 days delay? Even sending out emails have some problem, I have one client that mentioned, it seemed ok when sending out, but his receipient called and said no emails from him. He tried this for a few times, after 4 emails sent out, only 1 got through. Is it due to the high server load that caused this delay in sending and receiving emails? Please advise. |

I'm glad you brought this up, yesterday (on a different server) I got a couple of old emails (2 or 3 days old) which I found pretty strange. Interestingly a customer called me up on Friday about my lack of response to his email sent out on the previous day which I never got.
Delayed delivery for some reason? Antonio. |

I had this issue several weeks back, but a little more pronounced. O had emails showing up more than two weeks after they were sent. Fortunately, most were spam, and I was able to get it handled pretty well with a few rounds with support.
At first, they were incredulous that emails could be showing up 2 weeks later, but it was all in the headers.... Fortunately, I haven't had a reoccurence since they got it flushed out...... |

Well to be frank the only reason I have not complained is the headers.. they are all correct the mail is sent and arrives promptly but for some strange reason when the email software (or even webmail) checks the mailbox it's not there and then all of a sudden a couple of days later it is... strange stuff.
As for my client he gave me his login details I checked his neomail sent-email folder and it was right there.. just never arrived at my mailbox. |

Strange - most of my clients uses Outlook Express. Hope there won't be many delay emails.

Support just got back to me on the ticket (HGSupport #DGH-96814-201)
I was told that: "I have reduced the mail queue retry time now. Mails from now on should be fine." Now interpreting this I assume there was a problem in the 1st (or further) attempts at delivery. Even with this faliure the server did not send any warning messages to the sender as such they would have been blissfuly unaware of a delivery issue with this message over the last 6 days. Antonio. |

Now doesn't that make you want to go out and plant a shrub garden. Not funny is it. Sorry to hear about that and I wonder how many times?

Bad news is, the sender was not aware the message was not delivered....
The good news is, my problem ended when HG got it fixed for me. Biggest delay I've had since then was about 12 hours. |

I find that this problem flares up periodically. Today email was delayed about 4 hours but then batches of email flood in at once.
Once fixed it seems to be smooth for weeks or months, and then the problem arises againn |

Wow! I have been here since 2003 and it had never happened to me at least not that I noticed or was warned of.

Still receiving clients complaining to emails delayed for 1-3 days before reaching the receipient. Its not all their emails are delayed, only some are affected.
Is it problems with escalate or other factors? |

Judging by this thread looks like a more widespread problem, not just one server.

A couple weeks ago I had problems on Mercedes with delayed emails. I kept getting confused when emails would show up in my Outlook inbox at the bottom of my sorted list (usually the appear on top). Some of the emails were delayed 24-48 hours, others showed up immediately. This occurred for about 3 days. Everything seems to work OK now.

I'm having some problems with one of my clients because mails beeing sent from the webmail (horde) are not sent or delayed. But up to now seems to be only sent mails.
Still investigating with support what's hapenning: http://forums.hostgator.com/showthread.php?t=3950 David
