Hello,
I recently upgraded MySql to 5.1.46. All the databases work fine with the apps using them but I get the Failover enacted error message when I try to go to the database via cpanel or php myadmin. I am able to use the root account to access them through phpmyadmin but not any of the individual cpanel accounts. I tried reloading the pear module via ssh but that didn't help either. Do I need to open a ticket or is this something I should be able to fix? Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Try reloading your perl modules:
Code:
perl -MCPAN -e shell install Bundle::CPAN reload cpan install HTTP:ateate install HTTP:Date install Net::AIM::Connection install Net::AIM install Tie::IxHash install DBI install DBD::mysql

I'd recommend going ahead and putting in a ticket so our administrators can get this figured out for you.
Also, post the fix back here if you would, in case someone else has the same problem.

Update:
Hostgator support was able to fix the problem promptly the next morning. Here is the error message they encountered that was causing the problem: Code:
install_driver(mysql) failed: Can't load '/usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8/x86_64-linux/auto/DBD/mysql/mysql.so' for module DBD::mysql: libmysqlclient.so.15: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory at /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.8/x86_64-linux/XSLoader.pm line 70.
