I am getting this error when I click on Fantastico in CPanel:

[code:1:bd992d9e0c]PHP script /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/bluelagoon/fantastico/includes/enc_restrictions.inc.php is protected by SourceGuardian and requires file ixed.lin.4.2.3.pxp.
Please read SourceGuardian protected scripts manual.[/code:1:bd992d9e0c]

I installed things from Fantastico yesterday, so I am not sure why this error appeared. Ideas?

I just opened an account and had the same problem. I wrote to support and it seems to be working now.

Just out of curiosity, if such a problem happens again, is it better to just write to support than to post the problem here?

It was a problem with fantastico not working on new kernals. If a problem like this happens it's best to just ignore it as 100 other people willl alert us to it =)

now if a few days go by and it's still there then you would email.

I can imagine support would receive a lot of e-mail when a problem like this occurs. As I said, I wrote to support yesterday about the problem myself.

Since I did e-mail though, I didn't even bother trying to see if the problem was solved until I received a reply saying the problem had been corrected. Had I not of heard back from support , I probably would have written again rather than check to see if things were working. In effect, doubling my personal request for support.

I don't know about anyone else, but if there's a problem, I want to know for SURE y'all have been informed about it. Waiting... possibly up to a few days to see if it's fixed?, or checking over and over again to see if anyone has delt with the problem -- not knowing if you are even aware there is a problem, would honestly be very frustrating from my perspective.

So... as a suggestion, (take it -- leave it -- or tweak it to work) which I think might help cut back on the amount of e-mail y'all receive when problems like this occur, and hence, the replies you'd have to make to each individual account holder, as well as make sure WE know what's happening... why don't you set up an autoresponder and include a link to a specific "customer" forum -- where support would be notified upon the first post reporting a problem, you then reply saying you're aware of the problem and working towards a fix, and then the rest of us can just check there to stay informed as to what the problem is (via the link in the support autoresponder) what steps are being taken to solve it, and when it is expected to be fixed. (When it has been fixed).

I for one would be happy to hold off writing to support or posting about the problem in the forums here, if I could simply check here for the status of a problem you're already aware of -- or post the problem myself, if someone else hasn't already.

How can you ignore it, if your goal is to set up say, a postnuke site, when you need to get into fantastico in order to do it?

I for one, waste no time in setting up new sites as soon as the dns has propogated. Waiting around hoping someone else notices a problem and fixes it, costs me $$
