Hi,
I'm planning to get a reseller account and start with a small webhosting business but what i'm looking for is a reseller host that provides end-user support for their reseller customers. I understand hostgator doesn't provide this one but i would just like to know if you guys are considering to include it on your reseller packages. I have been a hostgator customer for almost 3 months and i'm am very satisfied with the service i'm getting and also recommended it to a friend and also got the same satisfaction that i got. That's one reason why i don't want to go to other reseller companies that provides end-user support such as resellerzoom and innohosting since it's been hostgator that's providing me great service compared to other hosting companies i've been with. Hope you guys include this on your reseller packages. Thanks! Sean |

As long as they offer it without it as well. I wouldn't want to pay three or four times more for reseller hosting.

ive often thought HG would serve not only some of their resellers but themselves well by offering an optional "end user support package" of some sort. But then i realized some potential problems. how could HG offer end user support when we all offer such diverse plans and services? Wouldn't HG have to standardize everyone's plans and programs? Wouldn't support be confusing to the end user if you were behind some of the links on your site and HG support desk behind others?
the trade off of doing or own support [yes, aside from price!] is having the vast flexibility we enjoy.

or simply provide a live support facility on the resellers site.... then their clients can get live support (if online) for items that are eg in cpanel, email where the details can be obtained from the client. if theres anything account related or whm actions are needed then they submit a ticket or email to the reseller... that service can be provided free...

Take a third party company for you support need. It does cost money on the other hand...

The real problem is that the largest problem HostGator has faced in the years of growth has been getting qualified support staff. Increasing the need for support people would just make that problem worse.

Buy a GoDaddy account (Wild West Domains). The whole thing is branded up with your logos and names really well, and their support handles everything. Of course, you have absolutly no control whartsoever and you have to spend a minimun of 99 bucks a year.
I'm not bitter.

www.superior-host.com provides direct end user 24/7 email support to reseller clients as well as direct phone support to the reseller themselves during normal business hours for those who need it and Tim is an excellent reseller host with very reasonable packages and excellent servers...
