What is the domain? It sounds like either the nameservers are not pointing here or the DNS has not propagated. It could also be a problem with the MX records.

The nameservers in the registrar (i.e. in Tucows) are not changed.
The support in your previous host changed the NS records in the zone file of cafenubia.com, which is just idiotic.

Where did you purchase the domain name from?

If you purchased it from the host then there should be an option inside your control panel (not cPanel) to change the nameservers.

Those options would be using their nameservers which I would say you don't want to do. You will need to go to the registrar to change them.

You can do a whois look up on your domain name

it now shows:
Name Server: NS719.HOSTGATOR.COM
Name Server: NS720.HOSTGATOR.COM

There are a number of sites on the internet that allow whois lookup. I use http://network-tools.com/ pretty regularly and it does show that the domain nameservers have been changed. It will take some time for the changes to propagate so that it will work for everyone.
