Hi Folks,
First off, I want to say, I think your service is great. I'm really impressed with Fantastico... Nice work!! I'm one of the unlucky users who has an ISP that blocks outbound email traffic on port 25. I do all my emails currently with Outlook (full version). For business reasons I have several different email accounts that I need to correspond on. My previous web hoster had provided a mechanism for sending email from Outlook to their server by providing SMTP access on port 5050. I went into advanced config in Outlook and set the port to 5050, and it has worked great for the past 2 years - even though my ISP had the port blocking on port 25 all along. It was really nice because I could manage all my emails - and my reply addresses from a single interface i.e. Outlook. This is currently my only regret with the switch, because now I have to either jump between multiple web mail locations to answer my mail... or send emails with the wrong reply to address. :? I didn't see any mechanism in cPanel or WHM to specify the SMTP port. So here I am to ask if a similar configuration could be established to allow me to send and receive emails without all the headache. Please Please Please..... Kind regards, Chris |
