Default Email sending limit on VPS servers

Well I have been a member of HG for about year and half now and I have had pretty good experience with them. I run a small vb forum off Gold Reseller account. Few weeks ago, my site was shut down by Hostgator due to "sending more than 500 emails per hour". I personally didn't send any emails out at all but it's the vb sending out subscription email. I had my programmer install a mod from vb.org and now my members are complaining of not receiving email at all. I am getting a little annoyed by the whole thing. So, I was thinking, if I move my site from reseller gold to a LEVEL 6 or 7 VPS, will I still have this restriction of <500 emails/hour?

Please let me know.

thanks

Default Re: Email sending limit on VPS servers

Hello,

Our VPS packages do not have this limit. You are free to configure the email server as you wish. Please submit a ticket if you have any further questions about our policies. We will be happy to answer your questions.
