Default Email limitation

Hi,

I get one question about email limitation. What's email storage limitation for each email account? Some hosting company say their plan is 20M or 30M / account with unlimited email account. What's the limitation from HG? Or can I setup it by myself at cpanel/whm?

Thanks.

Hi, as far as I know the amount of e-mail is limited by your hosting package. ie. I'm on BabyCroc and my e-mail accounts just count towards the total amount I've got on that package, which is 5GB if I remember, yeah that's right. You can specify a quota on each account if you want, but I haven't bothered.

So, the quick answer is

limited by your hosting account

email space = total space - web site space

Hope that helps

caersiddi,

Thanks for your quick reply. That sounds cool if I can specify a quota on each email account. One of my customer complain about 30M/email account for him. However, my current hosting company can't solve it because 30M is their standard. You know the only way I can do is forward all his emails to his gmail account. That's too bad from my side.

By the way, did you mean specify a quota on each email account on cpanel? I would check it on demo site later. My current firewall blocked it. :-)

Anyway, thanks again.

In cPanel you can set the quota when you create the account, and change it afterwards if you want.
