Question how to email with hostgator "hatchling" server?

how to email with hostgator "hatchling" server? It says it comes with webmail. Now how do i set these up and what will be email address be? Will it be xxxxxx@mydomainname.com???

And if so,if I want to use the hostgator mail server in a script i have how would I do this? These are the things my script needs:

EMAILER METHOD:it says i have to choose one of these:

PHPMAIL fuction

SMTP server

sendmail command

Which one do i choose?

Then it asks me for EMAIL SERVER(SMTP ONLY) and it has written in there already "localhost".Is this correct?

then it asks for for SMTP(user only). what do i write here?

then it ask for SMTP password(SMTP only).

then it asks for Sendmail path(sendmail only). what do i put here?

P.S

How much storage does hostgator give you with webmail, what is the maximum size attatchment and can you send/receive unlimited emails?

Thanks

Set them up under 'Mail' in cPanel. Access it from yourdomain.com/webmail

You shouldn't need any of these if you chose phpmail function.

You define storage per mailbox when you set up the mail account in cPanel. It's only limited by your hatchling account size. You can make one large account or many smaller accounts.

Max size is usually 10MB

ok thanks. regarding my Webmail, when i log into any of the webmail clients in cpanel,i CAN send an email, but i cannot receive emails,at least not straight away. I sent an email to my hotmail account and it arrived straight away, then i replied to the email i sent it hotmail, and sent it with HIGH priority and 5 minutes later i have not received this is my hostgator webmail yet? Why?

and Either my domain is NOT out of disk space, and my e-mail address itself is NOT out.

Is your DNS propagated?
If you do not received yet, can be a filter or spam control problem.
Try also to send an email "manually" meaning without using the "Reply" from hotmail and see what's happens.

I have noticed delays using hotmail to send email in many occasions.

when i replied to the hotmail email,it just bounched back to me with "message failure". I have just sent an email instead of replying to see if it works.

And i have had my hostgator server for over a month so the DNS has propagated a long long time again. it's not a filter or spam problem. i've checked.
