Email Forward on New Reseller Account

Hi,

Just getting started here and testing out things and I am having problems with Email Forwarding. I set up a domain then set it up to forward. To test I sent 12 messages, each with the subject line of the exact time.

So I could test the server direct I took HostGator out of the loop by emailing the destination box direct 4 times, All of those arrived within 30 seconds.

When I forwarded through the domain on Hostgator 9 of the messages came in fine, 2 messages came in the next day and 1 came in the 3rd day.

I just started testing this again this morning and find that one email I sent direct arrives fine, the email I sent through the HG server has still not arrived.

Why would forwarding have this much trouble?
