Hi
is it possible to create alias's for email accounts, for example i have an email account with the username joebloggs, but i also want email set to jbloggs@domain.com, and j.bloggs@domain.com sending to the joebloggs account had to post this here as there doesnt seem to be a forum for general support questions. regards Ash |

I'm having the same problem. Forwarding seems like the answer, but that leaves a copy of the forwarded mail on the server. A true alias would only have one copy of the mail. My customer doesn't want to have to delete the messages that will build up.
My last hosting company supported aliases, but I don't see how to do it here. |

I just got the answer from online support.
Create a forward, but not an email account, for example: forward test@domain.com to me@domain.com without actually creating the "test" email account. Anything sent to test will go to me@domain.com without leaving an extra copy on the server. I just tried it and it works like an alias should. Jim |

I reported him to abuse a couple of minutes ago - asking them to remove him.

Hi,
I am trying to set up a forwarder but not having much luck. I have set up the mailbox (which I might delete later re posts in this thread) and the forwarder BUT the mail does not arrive at the destination. I have attached an image to show the forwarder. Can someone just confirm that it is valid? Thanks |

Please, please, post a new question in one of the peer fora.
This is not a pre-sale question for you; the original post was almost two years old; and jdawson revived it the first time instead of starting a new thread in the appropriate place. Sorry to sound grumpy. |
