Server Eleanor is currently experiencing a distributed denial of service attack. Our administrators are working to mitigate the situation. Updates will be posted here as they occur.

Everything is loading fine for me, only thing out of the norm is that ftpd is down.

We've been having problems stabilizing FTP, but everything else should be fine at this time.

This appears to be an internet wide attack. I know of 6 different servers that have been attacked. Thanks Host Gator for getting us up and running quickly.

This is a different IP range than yesterday, but the situation should stabilize soon.

I'm working on it. It looks like the ranges are completely random.

We've got it under control for the most part. All of the IPs that are being blocked are getting tcp-resets on them as well, to make it quicker.

Hi,

Doesn't The Planet has the APF system go thru the DDOS Mitigation System when an attack is detected at the core routers?

APF is for Arbor Peak Flow

You can see those information in their 'Take a tour' video.

We have access to use Cicso Guard DDoS Mitigation system, but it does a terrible job sometimes. I've been analyzing packets, and using iptables for years, so usually its quicker for us to deal with the attack.
