Default Elantra down?

okay, it's been near 10 minutes and none of my sites on the elantra server will load up...

This has been happening more and more it seems...today is the worst though....

Is this happening to anyone else on elantra?

It's now been 50 minutes since discovery.

I rebooted from Debian into XP...no difference.

However, I have discovered that I can FTP in, and get into Cpanel and WHM...

It's as if they are not responding to port 80? So, I get to think about DoS attacks...but the server status reports 0.00 load on the CPUs as if they are totally idle..(not serving up anything)

Just checked again...now it says 0.04...so theres some life over there...

One hour resolution time....pretty darn good I suppose...

Of course they were not forthcoming with what the problem was....which, you know, leaves newbies like me with that weird newbie look on our faces

Yea, I hate that. You never know if it was something stupid you did or if it was even avoidable at all. Things stop working, we all understand that, but did it stop because someone did something or was it just a failure.

Either way, it kinda sucks no knowing.

Yeah, I think you bring up a valid point on that...we need feedback when something like that happens...

Even if it's just, "it was on our end"...would help...

Of course HG "enemies" would be playing on the "admission"...

But as you say, we all know "stuff happens"...so is it the bigger webhost that openly admits the "Oops" or the one that leaves customers with weird newbie looks?

Already back up? I'd still like to know what, if anything, is going on?

Does anyone have any ideas?

Just a quick update....everything's been fine since the last post...must have been on their end....and I noticed in my last reply to a ticket...something to the effect of "it's on our end, we're working on it now"...

Groovy!
