one hour since I created the ticket and eclipse seems be have just came back online (first ping and now httpd+mysql). I hope not hard disk issues ...

Fscks usually take close to an hour and are very very common for servers. It's nothing to worry about. They auto fsck after enough reboots or days without one upon reboot.

ping just came back. Waiting for to apache start now. Should be a couple more minutes offline but not more than that (I hope!!). About 40 minutes offline.

-a few of my hosted sites on eclipse are beginning to come back, painnnnnfully slow. Might have to get Gator to rip the guts out of Eclipse again just to show who's boss!

My sites came back up... but then DNS stopped responding. So all sites dependent on eclipse DNS were offline again (fortunally I have some that have DNS hosted elsewhere and were online after the first 40 minutes). Just now (1h) all sites are back online.
Maybe this is related to the recent OS upgrade? Before eclipse was stable. http://forums.hostgator.com/showthread.php?t=9022 Vt

someone is complaining about the 99.9% Uptime Guarantee in the customer review. I asked for mine because of this two downtimes and got it for May 2006.
