One of my client needs a Art & Photography site, Where once can pay & download the artwork. Yes, something like Photo Stock site.

Does anyone know of a site from where I can purchase the template?? Easy to use & modify. Also supporting various payment option.

I do have PHP & MySQL experience but don't have the time to develop one myself. I do undestand the time involved for an e-commerce site.

I have check to OSC details on the site & seem it will meet my requirements.

I will play around with OSC & check it out Myself.

If anyone else has any comment about the OS Commerce & other then do let me know

The ONLY two things I didn't like about OSC was the import feature and the look-feel aspect.

When I tested it last year, the import feature was VERY limited. My customer had a line of clothing and the import feature of OSC wasn't robust enough to import her products.

The look-feel aspect I didn't like was the fact that I couldn't find an OSC site that didn't look like an OSC site. They all look the same. That lead me to believe that one of two things was wrong.
1. OSC is difficult/time consuming to modify
2. People who really were putting in the effort were not using OSC.

After my research, I found that x-cart was the best for my needs. It is a tad expensive at $200.00, but I've been to x-cart sites that I couldn't tell what sofware they were using! The only reason I knew was because I was told it was x-cart.

The downside of x-cart is that it is written in Smarty. If you don't know smarty, you'd need to learn it. If you've programmed in PHP, smart isn't very hard.

x-cart does support electronic downloads very nicely and uses just about all of the payment methods.

I do undestand the time involved for an e-commerce site.

From the first post, I wasn't sure of your experience level. I just wanted to warn you not to start a project that you couldn't complete at your experience level. With your experience level, x-cart would be a good place to start.

The site seems to be good.

I have asked for the details what my client want to achive out of the site apart from selling. It then I can cost them correctly.

Have you looked at Zen Cart, it's free and open source. The next upcomming release is 1.3.0 , but I do not know when it will be released.
