Downtime?

I've seen some messages in the network status forum. It seems that they are having lots of problems...is this affecting anyones uptime for their sites? I"m having serious problems with my existing hosting company, and am moving, because my site has been down about 6 times, this week alone!!!

Anyway, is this a good time to move to HostGator????

My service has been good here. Any time my site has been down, it has only been for a short period of time and usually because they were doing some kind of backups or upgrades.

the network status messages you have seen may be to do with supra, there are many there about that machine. No new clients are being put on that machine. My experience on a different server has been good, and it seems that HG have a good attitude and generally a good record as regards uptime. See their monetary guarantee on the site. In short, the "many problems" are not representative of what HG has been like for the majority of customers, reviews around the internet are testament to that.

Sometimes I think I'm too "pro" HG...

We have so many servers something is always going on with one. =)

It's like that with any hosting company with a lot of boxes. We get most issues fixed within minutes. If you have any more questions please let us know.
