I own two domains, LouisianaPainter.com, which is up and running on another server right now, and HeartsGold.com, which at this time just points to LouisianaPainter.com. With the basic 9.95 package, can I have both domains, and can both domains be accessed as if they were on separate accounts? What I am saying is that I don't want the second domain to be HeartsGold.LouisianaPainter.com.
Thanks, Lenora |

Okay it looks like I'd have to have a Queen or King croc account to have more than one top-level domain there. Is that right? If it *is* right, can I fix it so that a person can type heartsgold.com and still come to the subdomain?
Hope I'm being clear. |

You are in luck. Right now we are running a special that wll allow you to host unlimited domains on ANY package.

Well, I just took the plunge. Now I'm waiting for setup, and am going to check the information on how to move one's domain without downtime.

What do I have to do to be able to log in on the forums? I tried to use my new information. I have received my email that comes after 20 minutes (the second one). Maybe it just takes longer for the forum or something.

Well, I must be doing something right, because when I type http://louisianapainter.com/cpanel, I get the pretty error page that I've recently created (created it when on the other server). hmmm....should I wait the 48 hours before being able to access the panel?
Is there another page that I should be reading that I'm not? |

The domain is still looking for your site on the old server, so until the DNS changes take affect (assuming you changed them), you will need to access your server and cpanel by IP and username:
http://hostgatorIP/~username/ <-- gets you to your site http://hostgatorIP/cpanel/ <-- gets you to your cpanel -Justin |

Yippee! Got it. I've been typing in the name, louisianapainter.com, instead of the numbers. Yeah, I know it's pretty clear that it's IP address, but I'm just partially savvy, not anywhere near completely. I'm what they call self-taught-in-spare-time.
THANKS! |
