Don't panic, You can change that info yourself or hire privacy, it usually for free depends on TLD extention though

Is it possbile to remove private information form Whois or they just stay here? Privacy protection is active on my domain, but i can still find informations in some whois database...

It may take a few days for the "cloaked" information to replace what's showing now.

Ya it's visible to all. You have get the private registration in hostgator . This will hides your personal information from the public. After this, you can check the whois info here whoisxy .

Yup, as suggested by others, all you will need is privacy protection.

I had the same experience and reaction after setting up my account. Privacy protection is the way to go.

I just wish that HostGator would include this as an option when signing up, instead of finding out after it is all set up that you need to pay additional money to get the protection. This is not intended as a rip on HostGator...but it would make good business practice to be up front about it.

I agree. It would also prevent what happens the rest of the time - you register the domain through HG, your info is posted publicly (and harvested by spammers), and only then do you realize you want privacy protection. But the horse has already left the barn!
