Default Domain transfer...

I have a domain that I'm transferring here. There's no hosting account associated with it, just the domain name. I've ordered webspace here at HG (Baby Croc), and was given the link to transfer my domain name. Support told me that transfer was free, however, when I go to the tranfer link, they ask for your CC information and whatnot.

Is my CC going to be charged when I transfer my domain?

Beh dont bother, just change your nameservers. If possible always keep diect control of your domain name. the $10/year is worth the security.

FYI, the transfer process is free, but with any registrar you have to buy an additional year of the domain registration when transferring. That's what the money is for.

I agree with PsiPro though, no reason to transfer your domain to HG. Just keep it where it is and change the namservers.

I agree with the posts above, try to keep the control of your domains all the time and learn at the same time, how to manage the name servers for the domains.

Thanks for the feedback, folks. Yeah, I think I'll just keep them separate.
