domain registration

Well it's my own fault for not looking before.
I recently signed up for a resellers account (aluminum) using the transfer my domain option.
I go to my old hosting company to get the name server changed but am denied accest to manage my domain. So I do a lookup at internic whois and find out the reseller I bought the site from had his own name on the account.
my question is
1. can I change the domain name on my account (I really don't want someone elses name on it)
2. barring that, what is the best way to setup my account to point to another domain, if there is way.

I finally found the tos for the old company so there will be no problem in terminating my account there, but am still waiting to hear back about the DNS change.
I thought the old company was a good one, I was there for a long time (since a free site in 1998) with no down time at all, and always fast service but I never had to get in touch with support till now.
Now that I found HG and see the support system here I am really impressed!

Just wish I could get into the rest of the forum.
