Domain Name Regristration

Hey guys,

I'm thinking of switching over my sites to a reseller account. I just have one question: Does Hostgator do automatic Domain Name Registration, and do they automatically update the registration each year? My current host, Hostek.com, does this, and it's a feature I really like. I won't mind too much if I have to use a registrar, but I'd be happy if this feature is available.

You can have your sites hosted here and keep your domains registered w/ Hostek. All you'll have to do is just point the DNS towards HG.

well that's not what I'm asking: rather can I register new domains through HostGator instead of with an outside registrar like I can with Hostek?

If price is a concern, I would strongly suggest that you check out the threads about Registrars.

HG registers through Enom and their prices are (in my opinion) too high. That's not HG's fault, but is a reason I use Namecheap and Moniker.

Some will say it's wiser to use a Registrar that is NOT associated in any way with your Host in the first place.

Hmm... NameCheap charges $10 per domain, the same as Hostek. I couldn't even find pricing for a single domain at Enom. Anyone know?
