Question Domain name registration in the reseller plan

Is the domain name registration fee extra my customer has to pay or is it included in the reseller plan.

Lets say, I buy a reseller account (with unlimited domain names obviously) for $30. Now if my customers regsiter 100 domains form me (as I am the reseller now). If I put a price of $10 for each domain, can I make $1000 (with the simple calculation $10 * 100) no matter whether I bought the plan in $30 or whatever. Please clarify?

The HG reseller account lets you host unlimted domains, not register unlimited domains. You will still need to purchase the domain names at a registrar like GoDaddy, Enom, or even through HostGator. You are reselling the hosting space.

The domains can be purchased by you for $8-12 (depending which company you use) and then you can sell them for whatever you like.

I want to register two more domain names from hostgator (you all take out the renewal for me every year and I find that helpful). I can't find a place to do that. Can you please let me know the answer to that and what the price will be for a domain registration thru Hostgator. Is it still $9.95?? Also, it's been a long time since I used c/panel, do you have a tutorial site??? Thanks, Sue Rogers

Just so you're clear, none of the people in this thread actually work at hostgator. People who do are clearly marked that way in their username.

There are a whole bunch of flash tutorials for cPanel on this page:

There are a few different replies to be made on this post so I'll try to hit them all.

1. The free enom account that we provide allows you to purchase domains for $8.75. There is an upgrade to this which the cost per domain $8.95, the upgrade allows the API usage. An API allows a script like autopilot to automatically register the domain name.

2. To register new domains through hostgator and not using a reseller enom account it is $15 a piece. You can use the link below to order them.

3. The best place for flash tutorials is the link that slapshotw provided. If you need more info there is alink below for the official cpanel documentation or you can goto hostgator.com's knowledgebase.

Hope I cleared everyhing up
