Default Domain expiry date

Just a quick and hopefully simple question.

I'm creating user accounts for my customers. Under the domain heading there is a fielded marked Domain expiry. I take it i leave the domain expiry as 00/00/0000?

Thanks in advance

if the invoice is set to paid, you should see the actual expiry date.
When i started using whmcs I edited the expiry date before manually crediting the invoice, and OOPS renewed the domain for another year cause whmcs would follow the due date and the expiry dates and should not be altered.

Thanks for your reply... I'm a little more confused though now... If I have a domain which was initially registered on 1st April 2007 for one year.. Do I set the expiry date to 1st April 2008 or maybe 7th April 2008 to allow a few extra days? I take it when the customer then pays their invoice the expiry date is automatically extended for another year?

Set the expiration to the domains expiration date. WHMCS does not pull that info, but may in the near future.

Domain expiration date never changes realistically, it will remain as is (as specified by domain regisry), no matter whatever billing manager you use, you can bill your client before the expiry date, to avoid site going offline, or during the renewal grace period (if your registrar offers).

With WHMCS though the feature for emailing expiration notices will be using this date. So it may be best to have it set right.
