Does the reseller account have its own ip address? i.e. no other hostgator customer websites on the ip?

By default, all shared webhosting and reseller accounts have only one shared IP address and no dedicated IP address. You can find your site's current IP in the left hand menu of the main page of cPanel.

Resellers have the potential for unlimited IPs (one for each cPanel). Just create the cPanel first, then submit the online form. If you choose the dedicated IP, all of your addon and subdomains within the same cPanel will use the dedicated IP. Emails will still use the shared IP.

A dedicated IP change requires 4 hours to resolve. Your site may appear to be down during that time. You will NOT need to change your name servers.

No it doesn't, unless you pay for an IP address.

Hi,

I like HG reseller hosting mainly because of IP. I have aluminium plan and I have around 7 ips(Its shared among all reseller customers on that particular server - I think so).
More than that we can also request dedicated ip for $2/month for any domain with cpanel we created from reseller account.
I am using reseller hosting (7 ips default) + have 2 dedicated ips for seo purpose.
