I currently have a dedicated server at another host. The renewal price they are offering is 25-40% more than the prices I'm seeing for similar setups (HD, memory, bandwidth) at competing hosts so I'm considering a move.
HostGator appears competitive but as I scan the feature set I see cPanel listed but nothing about Web Host Manager (WHM). It's installed on my current server, and when I use it to set up new accounts/domains, cPanel is automatically installed on each new account. But WHM gives me an overview of the entire server, a number of admin features like rebooting the machine or rebooting individual processes like PHP or MySQL, and control of all accounts on the server. (Sure beats the command line.) Is WHM simply assumed part of the cPanel package - ie, is it installed by default? Is it extra, or does HG use an alternative? |

On a dedicated linux server you would have access WHM.

As would any reseller accounts the dedi owner sets up.
Plus the OP can add either of two interface/billing addons, free licencing of which comes with the dedi account.
