Default DNS Zone Editor in WHM

I've noticed that the latest release of Mozilla Firefox, v. 3.6.13 (under Windoze 7, 64-bit) does not play well with the DNS Zone Editor in WHM. Attempting to fetch a zone to edit returns "Failed to fetch zone: Search.db." It was working fine yesterday in Firefox 3.6.12.

At first I thought it might be a problem with my VPS, but the Zone Editor works fine in Internet Explorer in Win 7, and in Firefox 3.6.13 on my old Vista 32-bit machine.

Has anyone else noticed this? My guess is it's a problem with JavaScript in the new Firefox. Hopefully the next release will fix the problem.

Hi!

I tried to replicate this on a test box here at the office, however I was unable to. I was able to use the Simple DNS and the advanced DNS Editor without issues.

Could I try doing this on your domain? Can you PM me your info if you don't mind?

Simple DNS and the advanced DNS Editor in cPanel work fine for me to. It's WHM >> Main >> DNS Functions >> Edit DNS Zone that does not work.

What are the steps you are doing once you are in Edit DNS Zone or you are not able to even see the DNS Edit zone.

I've tried on my reseller box (arena) in WHM but was not able to reproduce the issue. Using Windoze 7 Ultimate and firefox.

Are you able to attach a print screen?

In WHM >> Main >> DNS Functions >> Edit DNS Zone, select a domain to edit from the "Choose a Zone to Edit" list. Click Edit and "Failed to fetch zone: Search.db" appears.

Hi!

I wasn't able to replicate this either via WHM as you specified, via Windows 7 64bit.

Can you put in a support ticket and PM me the ticket ID?

Thanks!

I just tested it by creating a new Firefox profile. It works fine. So now I'll go through and figure out which Firefox extension, plugin, etc. is causing the conflict in my regular profile.

Great! Once you do, please let us know so we can let cPanel know as well. They might not be able to fix it, but it will be good to let them know that there's a conflict.
