Default DNS propagation

Hi,
Seeing some threats about hanging around waiting 48 hrs DNS propagation, I will state the following:
Do I am specially lucky?
Since about one year, I create an account in WHM, then go to my registrar, register, open strait my FTP and connect instantanly with the domain name, not only the IP but also over HTTP.
My DNS is instantanly resolved!
Apparently not the case for everybody.
My regular registrar is in Frisco, the server in Dallas and myself in Rio de Janeiro.

I noticed that I can not set my DNS with the registrar if the domain is not allready created. Aparently there is a check before allowing the DNS. The same happens with some other registrars. Some even suggest before validation the use of NSxxx.websitewelcome.... instead of my own DNS.
For me this means they see the domain right away.

Default Re: DNS propagation

Its the same for most everyone, with the exception of users who are on a system that uses a dns cache. These systems update every hour or 12. It doesn't prevent you from adding domains, but it might prevent you from seeing them.

Some ISPs do the caching thing, mine and it looks like yours doesn't.
