Default DNS problem with a addon domain on a shared account

Hi,

I have a Linux Business shared account at hostgator.

Few days ago I tried to host a new website here (the domain is from mydomain.com) using the addon domain option. The account was created on the server, all DB setups were OK, I have worked at the site by ftp connection and updated the DNS records in MyDomain.com with the data from the welcome message from HostGator.

The problem is that after 4 days, is still down, even if the DNS has propagated.

I don't know what is the problem. My link is: playharrypotter.com .

Have you uploaded an index file? e.g. index.html

In cpanel, can you try removing then re-adding the addon domain.

I will tray that, thanks.
Could this be the problem?

One question: will the directory for the domain be deleted?

Not sure if the directory gets deleted. Best to copy it if it's important.

When you created the addon domain, did you let the addon domain tool create the new sub directory for you, or did you create it yourself prior to that?

Also, what is your main domain, as the one were are discussing is an addon.

If you want to submit at ticket, send an email to support at hostgator dot com.

I'm just expanding on something that striddy noted:

You MUST let cPanel create the subdirectory for the addon Domain. If the directory already exists (even totally empty) it will be a problem.

Remove that directory completely, and let cPanel create it as part of the addon process.

I dind't created the directory myself (i'm talking about the first time i added the domain to my account). Second time, the derectory wasn't deleted when i have removed the addon so it was on the server when i have added the domain the second time.

I will try tonight to remove the account once again and I will delete the directory aswel.

If this doesn't work, I will submit a tiket

my main domain is onminiclip.com and the one I would like to host as well is playharrypotter.com
